José Trejo
LatAm Affairs
José brings more than 10 years of policy and advocacy experience across technology, retail, healthcare, and tourism in Mexico and throughout Latin America. José has advised public officials, non-governmental organizations, and national and international companies on addressing public problems and leveraging shared opportunities. Most recently before joining Runway, he was deeply involved in matters impacting ride-sharing and electric vehicles, where he has successfully led negotiations on the regulation of mobility and the future of work in Latin American cities.
Throughout his career, José has built multi-stakeholder alliances to protect operational stability, developed strategies to mitigate regulatory risk, supported business creation and growth through brokering relationships with government stakeholders, devised advocacy and political communication campaigns, and leveraged grassroots efforts to drive regulatory and policy change. In doing so, José has facilitated the creation of new avenues of engagement that foster innovation and development through collaboration among public, private, and social stakeholders.
